THE ADVOCATES OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARTSAKH MET AT THE CHAMBER OF ADVOCATES OF RA

On October 25, 2023, a meeting with the advocates of Artsakh Republic took place at the Chamber of Advocates of RA.
The chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of RA, the rector of the Academy of Advocates of RA, the head of the Public Defender’s Office of RA and the representatives of the Chamber of Advocates of RA and the Academy of Advocates of RA met with the advocates from Artsakh.
The Armenian advocates got acquainted with the problems of Artsakh colleagues concerning lodgment, job, as well as other vital issues related to advocacy activities, proposing to conduct a joint process aimed at solving them.
Among other things, the membership of the Artsakh Republic’s advocates to the Chamber of Advocates of RA in a short period was given priority, for the resolution of which an amendment of law is necessary.
It is also noteworthy that the Chamber of Advocates of RA initiated the solution of the problem of providing Artsakh colleagues with work or offices earlier and a number of law offices have joined the assistance program.
The chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of RA noted that the colleagues who are not yet provided with jobs were given workplaces until the elimination of existing problems and normal activity in the Republic of Armenia.
It should also be noted, that a special training program for Artsakh colleagues at the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia and the Academy of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia will be launched in the near future.
